Yvonne left Carnegie Museum of Natural History in 2007 to work on fossils in the western United States.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh (Monroeville)

What’s your degree?
BS Geology

How long have you been a preparator?
since 1998

What fieldwork have you done?
mammal microfossils in Mississippi and Wyoming; worked with Jack Horner on T. rex in Eastern Montana

What’s the hardest part of being a preparator?
frustration when things break

Of all the fossils you’ve worked on, what was your favorite?
putting together the Apatosaurus humerus (leg bone) that an outside researcher broke
